In today’s video I want to talk to you about being brave…
…brave enough to keep believing in yourself, no matter what anyone says to you.
Sometimes there are well-meaning people in our lives who say, “Ugh, you’re such a dreamer. Get real!”
I want to tell you a story about something that happened to me about 15 years ago when I was making my first moves towards becoming a million-dollar business owner. Let this inspire you in your pursuit of success, sweet friend:
I had gone to a weekend seminar about how to become a millionaire. At the end of the event, I joined my husband and some good friends for dinner across town.
During the seminar, there was a lot of ‘affirmation shouting’ (I really love affirmations, in case you didn’t know) and so when I arrived at the restaurant, my voice was sore from all the shouting.
One of my friends who was having dinner with us asked, “Why is your voice sore?”
So I told him, “I was just at a millionaire-maker event.”
He said, “Do you really believe that you can make a million? That’s such a hoax.”
And I said, “Do I believe that I’m going to become a seven-figure business owner? Yes, and I’m going to go for it.”
I went on to be ridiculed a bit by my friends, and it was uncomfortable for me. But I stopped laughing and said, “Watch me do it.”
And then everything got reeeeeeaaaaally quiet.
If you know me, you know that I’ve been a seven-figure business owner for 11 years now.
I share this because sometimes, other people’s opinions really don’t matter. It doesn’t matter what they think you can do…
…the only thing that matters is what YOU think you can do.
Be brave enough to stay with your convictions, and not listen to people with small thinking.
So if there’s someone in your life who doesn’t really believe that you can achieve something, all you have to say is “Watch me do it” and stay in your conviction.
It’s about staying true to what you’re creating in your life.
It’s about staying the course.
It’s about believing in yourself, OK?
