What made me stop settling (forever)

I received the sweetest note this week from someone who has been following me for a loooooong time and it inspired today’s video, which you will love. (Thank you, Carol!)

No matter where you are on your entrepreneurial journey…

…perhaps you are just starting, trying to figure out where to find your first handful of clients.

…or maybe you’ve been at it for a few years and feel ready to bust out of the plateau that occurs when we reach that first or second level of success.

…or maybe you’re rocking it, and you’re ready for the next bigger level of impact and abundance.

Wherever you are, my sweet friend, I want you to watch this video because the note that I received from Carol allowed me to recognize a vital component of my own entrepreneurial journey that I hope can inspire yours.

If I look through the depths of my mind, searching for THE thing that is the common denominator to having more security and more freedom in your life, this is it.

Knowing how to sell with love.

It affects everything, and I mean everything.

When you can sell, you can get a client. Many clients.

Financial security follows.

Which means you never have to be beholden to anyone or anything. You don’t need to settle. You don’t need to be under anyone’s control, or stuck in any situation you don’t want to be in, personal or professional.

Because the ability to sell (with love, always) is the security that comes from self-reliance.

Self-reliance is the outcome of you knowing that you’ve “got this.”

From my vantage point of nearly two decades in business, going from barely able to scrape enough money together to keep that eensy teensy little apartment in New York City, to where I am today…being the proud leader of a multi-seven figure business, living our dream in Paris, being incredibly supported by a team of 30…

…there’s one skill that I value over all of the others. And you should, too.

It’s sales.

But I know, believe me, I do, how even the word “sales” can be really creepy for some. And you’re right, there are SOME ways to do sales that are ugly and sleazy.

But that mindset can change when you do the two simple exercises I share with you in today’s video.

These exercises are important.

These two assignments have the true capability to change your financial situation for good.

To make you self reliant, not beholden to anyone or anything.

They create security in your life.

It is time for you to embrace sales. It is time for you to understand that falling in love with sales is absolutely how you will create real, authentic and powerful self-reliance.
