 Your job when it comes to creating systems is to really just think about the shell of the systems that you want to create – whatever processes can be put in place that will leverage what your business can offer.

So, I want you to start thinking, what kind of systems do I need? Consider your email newsletters, your book marketing strategies—each of these is a system waiting to be defined and documented.

  • Do you need systems for marketing? Well, let’s look at your email newsletter. How does that work? 
  • Let’s say you’ve written a book – what are all the systems that can be put in place in that category?
  • What about client testimonials? How can that be leveraged?

And all you have to do is just name them and write them down.

Here’s the truth—most of us haven’t been wired to think about our businesses as corporate entities. But think about it: marketing, customer service, HR, sales—each part of your business deserves its own set of instructions, its own playbook. 

But you don’t actually have to be the one to do the actual documentation. This is where you can hire a team member to do it for you, or have your existing team members write everything down.
