Put on your Big Girl Pants & Gain Accountability in Business

You’re probably someone who comes up with a million ideas, yes? We entrepreneurs are what I call “high-idea generators”.

We love to dream about what could be, new ways of thinking about things and how to help people. You too?

The minutiae? Not so much.

Dealing with numbers and tiny details doesn’t feel as exciting. Measurements. Indicators. Spreadsheets. Schedules. Deadlines. Systems? They’re not that compelling, and so we tend to not put our focus there as much. We’d rather make money or talk to someone.

Here’s the thing, though. What got you “here” (overwhelmed, kinda winging it, not growing as quickly as you’d like and not necessarily knowing the details) won’t get you “there”, whether that’s 50K a month or even 100K a month, with many weeks of unplugged vacations per year.

  5. Course-correct your actions based on this intel, in real time

What started as “flying by the seat of my pants” has now got to shift to “accountability”.

You’ve got to start looking at where you are to gain accountability in business.

Predictable, exponential growth doesn’t happen by accident.

Tracking, measuring, and looking at “the numbers” is the name of the game at this stage of your business.

Having generated multiple 7 figures a year for close to 15 years, I’ve learned THIS: we must learn to appreciate the numbers too, because they tell a story that we can then use to make strategic decisions toward our goals. Numbers hold us accountable to where we say we want to go. 

At this stage, accountability in business is everything.

As uncomfortable as it might be, you must start tracking your numbers on a daily or weekly basis, because it is the thing that will help grow your business steadily and quickly.

This is how you gain control of your business and leverage your accountability; because you always know where you stand.
