How to write copy that sells

Today I want to inspire you to think about copywriting in a new way…one that will hopefully make it a lot easier for you and will create better results.

Because whether you love to write or hate to write, copywriting is an essential aspect of marketing, and no matter how techy we get, writing is not going away.

Writing good copy matters…for your website, your email newsletters, your social media posts, your sales collateral, and even your video marketing. It’s the link to the emotional connection you have the opportunity of creating between you and those you are here to serve.

Your copy has to “land” in your prospect’s heart and soul to be effective, so they say to themselves, “Wow, how does she know me so well?” Watch today’s video to discover how:

You must get into the heart, mind, dreams and desires of the ONE PERSON you are writing for…

Write the conversation that they are already having in their head.

I share lots of ideas with you on how to think about this in today’s video on writing good copy, and yet I want to underline this vital concept:

Great copy doesn’t communicate what you know, your expertise or the way you work. Great copy is all about them…your ideal clients.

It’s about stories that resonate with their deepest thoughts. It allows a person to know that they aren’t alone.

That they can have hope. That there are solutions to seemingly unsolvable challenges.

Copy is magical.

Not in the sense that copy will do your marketing for you – everything we teach our Members of Boldheart Business about powerful client attractive marketing still applies (it goes beyond great copy, of course).

But when your copy sings right into the heart of this ONE PERSON, all of your marketing activities will be so much more effective (and lucrative).

So, it’s time to practice. Write a love letter for your avatar (sometimes I call her my muse…or you can think of your most ideal client). What do you see in him or her? Reflect her experience back to her so that she can feel seen. Inspire him to believe that that thing he longs for more than anything is possible.

Write from your heart. Not your head.
