Cracking the Code of Entrepreneurial Accountability

Wondering how to leverage entrepreneurial accountability in your team when you are a high idea generator? I’d like to talk to you about a subject that resonates with many entrepreneurs- struggling with how to leverage accountability.

If you are like me, you are wired in a way that you come up with lots and lots of ideas. You’re a high-idea generator, and your mind is a treasure trove of ideas that excite you and allow you to envision endless possibilities for your business.

But, you’re also probably wired to not really feel jazzed about completing everything you start.

Watch this video to see how entrepreneurial accountability can help you get out of this rut:

This is something that happens to 95% of entrepreneurs – we love to start new things, but when it gets to about 80% in the phase of completion, we lose interest in what we’re doing, and we tend to go chase the excitement of another task.

But the problem is you don’t get results from things you don’t finish, right? Results come from finishing what you started.

So, how do we bridge that gap? How do we transform from the 80% zone to that coveted 100% completion mark?

This is where the concept of entrepreneurial accountability comes in – it’s a tool that you can use to keep you engaged and make sure you finish the tasks that are truly going to grow your business.

Bridging the 80% Entrepreneurial Accountability Gap

So I want you to start thinking about what would be required for you to finish these things, to move from that 80% to that 100% completion. How would you like to be held accountable? What does it take for you to complete a project successfully?

I’d like you to dig deep and uncover the aspects that keep you from finishing what you start, and then what you can do to overcome them.

  • Maybe you are somebody who does really well when you have somebody around you creating some structure and holding you accountable. Is there someone that you could hire to do that for you? Yes, I’m talking about paying someone to be your project buddy. Sounds a bit unconventional, I know – but I have done this many times, and it truly works to leverage entrepreneurial accountability.
  • Is it that you finish things more easily when they are fun? How could you make the completion of your projects more fun? Try to break the monotony, add an element of excitement, and make the process enjoyable.
  • If you discover that you’re more productive outside the confines of your office, I encourage you to embrace that. I’ve finished more than one book by just booking a cottage somewhere or going away from the day-to-day of my business in order to finish things. Changing your environment can work wonders for your productivity.

Self-awareness for Entrepreneurial Accountability

The key here is self-awareness and entrepreneurial accountability. It’s about understanding how you operate at your best and creating an environment that supports your journey from start to finish. What do you need to wrap up these projects that hold the potential to boost your revenue or scale your business?

I’ve had times when I was juggling multiple projects, and completion seemed impossible for me. Bringing in external accountability – someone to check in on my progress, provide structure, and ensure I stayed on track – means Boldheart projects got completed, and my business experienced unprecedented growth.

Imagine the satisfaction of completing each project, one after the other, gain accountability in business, and witnessing your business soar to new heights.

Remember, it’s not about doing everything, it’s about completing the right things.

I look forward to seeing what you accomplish.
