Today’s video about money mindset may be surprising for you to hear (especially if you’re struggling to get your business to move faster)…
…even some people who are making “good money” still struggle with making money.
This week, I want to share some money mindset advice. It’s the same advice I gave one of our members who happens to run a multiple-7-figure business and wants to grow her impact faster than she’s growing it now.
She was asking for the reason for this and I pinpointed the mindset cause right away. When she recognized this within herself after an exercise we did, she allowed the handbrake to be released around allowing in more money. You can too.
Here’s how you’re probably not even aware that you are holding yourself back and what to do about it:
You see, money is more than money. It is a story.
And your understanding of your money story has a dramatic impact on your ability to make it and keep it.
All of us received powerful lessons about money when our minds were wide open as children. Before the age of 8 we are literally learning how the world works.
So…
If we are told that making money is bad and that people with money are bad…we believe it and don’t want to become that (on a subconscious level).
If we are told that wanting more things (toys, food, etc.) makes us selfish and greedy…we believe it and don’t want to become that (on a subconscious level).
If our family didn’t have money, we understand that money is for “other people” and don’t feel we deserve it (on a subconscious level).
These stories have incredible power over us, because when they remain in our unconscious minds (our mindset), they drive our actions and behaviors.
