Does your business have what it takes to get to multiple 6-figures, even 7-figures?
One woman recently asked me, “Fabienne, at what point do you know your business is set up to set to reach multiple 6-figures, even 7-figures? Given that a lot of new businesses fail or stay at a plateau, how long do you know whether to keep on going or make some changes?”
Well, I gave her three answers, and I thought you might want to hear the answer too, for your own business. Let’s dive in and watch this video!
Firstly, let’s look at the viability of your business, its ability to survive bumps in the road and grow exponentially.
Is your niche obscure or untested? The best way to find out is to look around and see if there are other businesses similar to yours that are making money somewhere in the world.
If you find examples of successful businesses in your niche, then chances are there is viability in your business idea. The second thing to consider is your willingness to market your business.
Are you actively and prolifically marketing it? Do you believe in what you do and are you willing to go out there and share it with the world?
Successful businesses require consistent and proactive marketing efforts. You can’t just sit back and wait for clients to come to you. You need to be willing to put in the time and effort to promote your business and connect with potential customers.
If you’re passionate about what you do, you’ll be much more motivated to market your business every single day.

Lastly, let’s talk about your level of passion for your business.
Self-employment can be challenging, as you already know, and it requires a deep level of commitment and motivation. Ask yourself if you’re truly passionate about what you’re doing.
Is this something that you can see yourself doing for the long haul, even 20 or 25 years down the road? Is it a 10 out of 10? Is it a full-body yes for you?
If you’re not feeling satisfied, fulfilled, inspired, or motivated by your business, then your answer is there.
Self-employment is hard enough, and it’s even harder when you’re not truly passionate about what you’re doing. If you’re not feeling that level of enthusiasm, it’s okay to explore other options.
So, to sum it up, your business can be scaled to multiple 6 and even 7 figures if you have these three things:
- viability
- willingness to market
- and passion
If yes, then you’re on the right track and it’s time to scale your existing business using several “levers” to have you grow, without sacrificing your life. But if you’re struggling in any of these areas, it might be time to reevaluate and make changes and make some tweaks to your business so you set yourself up to grow.
